I have been working with the Student Council on getting some monthly theme days to increase school spirit. The first one they requested is a pajama day. I decided we can one per month on the second Wednesday of the month and we will call it “Wacky Wednesday”. The December theme will be “Favorite Sports Team”.

No slippers, pajamas must be school appropriate
Favorite Sports Team Day–December 13th
Yesterday I met with the Student Council and they made their case to allow students to wear costumes on Halloween. They presented guidelines that need to be followed and made a good case. We don’t do very many things for school spirit and I think the students will enjoy this opportunity. I got into this business to work with kids and see them happy. We will allow students to wear costumes with the following guidelines:
No masks
No face paint
No blow up costumes
No props
No weapons
Costume must be school appropriate
Halloween--No costumes are allowed at school on Halloween

Wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness
We hope you can join us October 24th for a special movie presentation at Veterans Middle School. The film begins promptly at 6pm, conversation & more resources afterwards. How is media influencing our children? How can we protect our children against substance misuse? The growing dangers of fentanyl, & more. Content appropriate for teens & adults.
The Vets MS vocal soloists will be performing jazz & pop standards with the group Swinglane (Pictured here) on Monday, May 22 at 6 pm in the Vets MS auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public. We hope to see you there!
Veterans MS Orchestra and Band members along with their teacher, Mr. Daigle, are visiting elementary schools to encourage future students to join the fun! This morning they put on quite a performance for Oakland Beach 5th graders! Did you know they perform during lunches throughout the year, followed by a celebratory pizza party? Awesome. Big thanks to our MS students for sharing how beneficial and enjoyable music is with their future peers! For some video of their performance, check out Warwick Public School's Instagram.
